Dear Father;
I seem to have joined a super hero team. We will be calling ourselves the Champions. I am pleased with my teammates and look forward to learning and working with them. I know you met them when they came to the house, and have worked with Nova, Spider-man, and Ms. Marvel while they were Avengers, but I feel it will be beneficial to my understanding of humans and our understanding of each other if I give you my reactions to each.
Ms. Marvel seemed quite competent and has a strong sense of what is ethically correct. She also has strong oratory skills and can inspire others with speeches, much like Captain America. She seems awkward towards me or reserved. I do not know if this is a difference in our personalities, a lack of social skill on my part, or a cultural difference between us. Perhaps I should look into teen Pakistani culture, both those living in America and those living in Pakistan itself, for clues.
Spider-man is quite competent and next to Ms. Marvel seems the most experienced of my new team. He seems open but we didn't really connect. I do not know why this is but I did not sense any hesitation on his part. Perhaps it was merely a lack of opportunity.
Nova is another with much experience but I feel he is still attempting to prove himself or is insecure. He is open and friendly, and I noticed he made an effort to be sure I felt included. I feel he would be a good friend and will pursue a deeper friendship with him.
Hulk is...interesting. He is intelligent and quick to solve problems. He has good instincts in the heat of challenges. But he is also brash and feels the need to be the most competent or dominate in interactions. While this may be difficult to interact with, I feel it is a good challenge for my social skills. I do respect his intelligence and engineering skills.
Our first mission was a local one. I discovered a less competent villain who was seeking to sell several teenaged girls to unknown parties. I do not understand many things about humans--I know this--but I will never understand those who feel they have a right to sell other humans to whomever will buy. It is morally wrong and illogical. We stopped him and rescued the girls..but....we were too late for one of them.
She was unresponsive and we were too late for her.
I find it difficult to consider this mission a success for this reason.
Am I wrong?
Regardless, we now seem to be trending on social media and seem to have not only gained a following, but inspired others to make the world a better place.
